Brittney Jackson Brown (she/her/hers) is a graduate of Vanderbilt Divinity School where she received a Master of Theological Studies. In August 2016, Brittney completed her Master of Education in Leadership and Organizational Performance from Peabody College, also at Vanderbilt. Prior to returning to a college campus, Brittney held professional roles in employee relations and organizational development. Upon completion of her studies she hopes to combine interests in interfaith dialogue, employment issues, and social justice within the context of leadership development and social responsibility for organizations. In her spare time Brittney has volunteered as a Cal Turner Fellow on immigration rights advocacy with the Nashville Freedom School Partnership and the Oasis Center. Originally from Muskegon, Michigan, she is now a full time resident of Nashville, TN where she lives with her husband, Eric.


This resource was designed with a United Methodist perspective, but we believe the content is also relevant for non-UMC seekers who are doing anti-racism work with a spiritual foundation.
